On the morning of July 10, 2026, the Construction Consultation Joint Stock Company for Maritime Building (CMB) organized the 2nd Conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation in 2026 with the attendance of the Company’s Board of Directors, the Science Council, leaders of departments, centers, and branches, along with all officers, engineers, and workers in the Company, in a format combining in-person and online participation from the company headquarters and branches.
The conference is an annual activity to review and evaluate research results, applications of science and technology, and innovation initiatives in business operations. It also provides a forum for departments, units, and individuals to exchange professional knowledge, share experience, introduce new solutions, and propose research and application directions for science and technology in support of the Company’s business activities.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Le Huu Quang, General Director, emphasized that, amid the rapid development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, research into and application of science and technology and innovation are not only inevitable trends but also decisive factors in a company’s competitiveness, labor productivity, and sustainable development.
With the strategy of building CMB into a professional consultancy unit on a digital platform, CMB has recently established the IT & AI Center staffed by leading experts in information technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. The Company has also intensified scientific research and promoted initiatives and improvements for application in its consultancy products.
At this conference, participants listened to reports on artificial intelligence software products: automated design of maritime channels; automatic analysis and preparation of consultancy reports; hydrological analysis; optimization of ship draft calculations; the CMB-developed management software suite… These products provide clear evidence of CMB’s science and technology and digital transformation strategy. The research is not only scientifically meaningful but also highly practical, and the General Director recognized and highly appreciated the research and innovative spirit demonstrated by teams and individuals in recent years.
Building on the achievements obtained in the last 6 months of the year, CMB strives to complete the management software suite with full modules; complete AI software for searching sector-specific legal documents, planning information, and internal rules and regulations; and manage CMB’s large-scale databases. The General Director requested departments and centers to continue promoting the spirit of innovation, strengthening coordination in research and application of scientific and technological achievements; promoting digital transformation, effectively exploiting artificial intelligence and new technologies to enhance competitiveness, productivity, quality of consultancy products, and the efficiency of the Company’s production and business activities.
Delivering directing remarks at the Conference, Mr. Pham Trung Kien, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Science Council, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of scientific, technological, and innovation activities in recent times. He emphasized that science, technology, and innovation must be closely linked to the practical requirements of production and business activities, taking application efficiency as the measure for research results. At the same time, he requested departments and centers to continue promoting digital transformation, applying AI, BIM, and new technologies in consultancy activities, contributing to improving product quality, competitiveness, and building CMB for sustainable development in the new phase.
