COMMENCEMENT OF THE INVESTMENT PROJECT ON CONSTRUCTION AND BUSINESS OF INFRASTRUCTURE OF XUAN CAU INDUSTRIAL ZONE AND NON-TARIFF ZONE
On May 13, 2023, Hai Phong City People's Committee and Xuan Cau - Lach Huyen Investment Joint Stock Company held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Xuan Cau Industrial Zone and Non-Tariff Zone Investment Project.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; leaders of Central Committees, Ministries and Branches; local leaders; leaders of Hai Phong city; investors and diplomatic agencies. This is an important event to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2023), Red Phoenix Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2023.
Construction Consultation Joint Stock Company for Maritime Building (CMB) is honored to be trusted by the Investor, assigned to carry out consulting works for the project: Surveying, detailed master plan on the scale of 1/500, preparation of feasibility study report and detailed design- cost estimates of the project's work items.
The project covers an area of 752ha, with a total investment of more than 11,000 billion VND, including 369 hectares of industrial production area and 173 hectares of warehouse and logistics service area. The project is located immediately behind and adjacent to 6 km in length with Lach Huyen deep-water port, which is the basis for forming an industrial and logistics zone associated with a large-scale and modern seaport. This will be an important logistics area for Lach Huyen Port, which is capable of accommodating Container ships with a tonnage of up to 200,000 DWT, going on direct sea routes to Europe and America.
The establishment of Xuan Cau industrial zone and non-tariff zone along with the system of deep-water wharfs of Lach Huyen International Terminal will contribute to creating an increasingly complete structure of technical infrastructure, making the most of the value chain of Lach Huyen international port as well as the non-tariff zone - logistics and industry in this area. It will create conditions to attract global corporations to invest in Vietnam, enhancing national position and prestige in the field of seaport operations, and import and export activities; creating added values such as supporting industries, insurance, finance, banking, port operation, transportation; creating jobs for workers, consuming domestic goods and raw materials for the production of export goods, etc contributing to the realization of the goal of developing Hai Phong city "to become a modern developed industrial, smart, sustainable city in Southeast Asia, a modern international logistics service center” in the spirit of the Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2019 of the Politburo.

Cầu cảng số 2 – Bến cảng Quốc tế Chu Lai thuộc dự án Đầu tư xây dựng mở rộng bến cảng Thaco Chu Lai thuộc cảng biển Kỳ Hà – Cảng biển Quảng Nam do Công ty TNHH Cảng Chu Lai – Trường Hải thuộc Công ty cổ phần Tập đoàn Trường Hải (THACO) làm chủ đầu tư vừa được khánh thành đưa vào khai thác ngày 03/02/2025.
